Affordable housing for all of our employees (in two bedroom 1.5 bath townhouses shared with other employees) is just a short walk down the meadow drive to the west of the hotel.

Catch the free shuttle into the park - the rim of the canyon is just a few minutes from where you live…hike the trails, see the sun set over the canyon!

The Grand Canyon is very close to other popular travel destinations. Travel within 2-3 hours of your home at the Grand Canyon & see Lake Powell, Monument Valley, Las Vegas, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Sedona, and Flagstaff to name a few.

Shopping and banking are available in the Park and in the nearby community of Flagstaff. The basic necessities are available at the general store down the street from the hotel in Tusayan, and a larger variety is available at the General Store inside the park (via the shuttle in the summer). The major shopping area of Northern Arizona is in Flagstaff, 75 miles away. Many employees find friends who have cars to get around the area and there are shuttle companies that have service to and from Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Las Vegas.
Employees of the Holiday Inn can get space available discounts on air tours and other area activities that tourists enjoy every day and our employees can get space available discounts for Holiday Inn rooms when you travel (as low as $39).
The hotel is open year round, situated at about 6,500 feet (1981.2 m) above sea level. The Canyon is beautiful year round.
